Backfill for Professional Learning

A contribution towards staff backfill funding is allocated per Service to participate in Professional Learning aligned to Flying Start priorities for 3-year-old preschool delivery.

Eligibility

This backfill contribution is only payable in the first year of the service’s partnership with the OECD.

Backfill funding must pay for backfill for teachers or educators to support professional learning aligned to Flying Start priorities for 3-year-old preschool delivery.

Program reporting

Backfill for Professional Learning will need to be accounted for in the service-level annual financial acquittal including details of what professional learning was undertaken. Partners will need to retain evidence to demonstrate compliance with the spending rules.
