Preschool Toolkit

The Preschool Toolkit is a set of contemporary, evidence-based resources and tools to help Flying Start partner services deliver a quality 3-year-old preschool program.

The Preschool Toolkit has been created by the Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) and Gowrie SA, and focuses on 6 main learning areas:

  • Being Me
  • Curriculum Design and Planning
  • Environments for Learning
  • Inclusion, diversity and cultural responsiveness
  • Leadership
  • Relationships

Each Flying Start partner service receives a hard copy of the materials and can access digital versions via the online learning platform plink.

Online learning modules

Alongside the digital versions of the Toolkit resources, there are several online learning modules to accompany the Preschool Toolkit.

The online modules are a deeper dive into each learning area and provide additional guidance for using the tools.

Visit plink to access the modules.

Additional professional development

To get the most out of the Preschool Toolkit, the OECD and Gowrie SA regularly host in-person and online professional development sessions, providing more guidance to use the tools and resources in practice.

More detail about upcoming professional development sessions will be listed on the Partner Portal.
