Enhancing Quality

The Enhancing Quality program provides access to funding for Flying Start partner services and is focused on supporting a whole-of-service approach to professional development and learning aligned to strategic quality objectives.

The $2.5 million professional development program gives partner services access to further training for their early childhood educators and teachers delivering 3-year-old preschool.

There are three key focus areas for the Enhancing Quality program, based on the National Quality Standard:

  • QA1 - Educational program and practice
  • QA5 - Relationships with children; and
  • QA7 - Leadership.

The Program is a trial pilot for the 2027 year.

The program supports retention of the early childhood workforce, lifting service quality and improving developmental outcomes for children across language, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains.
