Operating an integrated hub in South Australia
Integrated hubs for children and their families
The Government of South Australia is establishing integrated hubs across the state. Integrated hubs will offer a preschool program of up to 30 hours a week for 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds who will benefit the most.
By 2032, 20 hubs will be operating across the state. They will bring preschool together with other health, wellbeing and education offerings. This will support families and children to access the services they need in one place. See Extra support for children who need it most for more information.

Registrations of Interest now open!
You can nominate your service or organisation to operate an integrated hub.
Your opportunity to operate an integrated hub
Existing and potential services that meet the eligibility criteria are invited to partner with the government to operate an integrated hub from 2028. The OECD will consider services based on responses to the registration of interest and an assessment process.
The registration of interest closes Friday, 13 June at 5pm. The OECD will assess applications in stages, prioritising services that could roll out in 2028. If you apply, the OECD may contact you for more information, or to organise a site visit between 16 and 27 June at the earliest.
Read the Partnership Guide (PDF) and the Integrated Hub Design Brief (PDF) for more information on the selection process to operate an integrated hub.
The OECD is working directly with the Department for Education (DfE) to also establish government (DfE) operated integrated hubs, so there is no need for DfE services to participate in this registration of interest process.
I want my service to become an integrated hub
Review the eligibility criteria before starting your registration of interest application.
The OECD wants to capture basic information about your existing service’s infrastructure and delivery model.
My service specialises in supporting Aboriginal families
At least 2 of the state’s new integrated hubs will be Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO)-led.
If your service is a:
- Community Child Care Fund Restricted (CCCFR)
- Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation
- Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation
the OECD encourages your submission.
I want to establish a new integrated hub
Organisations that meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to submit their response to the registration of interest by 5pm Friday 13 June 2025.
The registration of interest has been designed to capture some basic structured information about your experience with early childhood education and care or community engagement and support, and possible infrastructure and land opportunities. Further activities for assessment of desirability and feasibility will be determined based on the submissions received and information gathered.
