Description
Our approach is centered on empowering the people around the child. We know that the most meaningful progress happens in everyday moments, with the people children know and trust. Our service is designed to upskill educators to confidently embed OT therapy strategies into daily routines supporting children’s development in natural, practical, and sustainable ways.
We work collaboratively with early learning teams to build understanding of each child’s needs within their environment. We focus on enhancing participation in everyday experiences like mealtimes, play, group activities, self-care tasks, and transitions. These become opportunities to develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
Support is flexible and tailored to each service. We offer a combination of small group and whole-room training, educator coaching, and in-the-moment guidance to ensure strategies are practical, achievable, and relevant. Educators are supported to implement strategies in real time, with a strong focus on building independence and embedding skills across the day.
Key components of our service include collaborative goal setting, routine-based intervention, modelling and coaching within the classroom, and ongoing reflection to support continuous growth.
Our focus is always on small, achievable changes that lead to meaningful progress over time.
By building capacity within the environment, we create lasting impact, day by day!

Cost
This program is delivered per session for: *1:1 Mentoring & Small Group (2-4) Consultations - $170 per hour* *Customised Educator Workshop (4+) - $220 per hour* *Resource Development - $150 per hour unless complex* *All costs exclude GST* *Travel outside of Metro Adelaide may incur costs by negotiation*

Day by Day Early Intervention, based in Port Adelaide, is a small but passionate Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy private practice offering services out in the community and from our clinic home. Our approach is play-based, relationship-focused and grounded in evidence-informed practice. We work closely with families and key caregivers to create meaningful goals and support children in the everyday moments where learning naturally happens.
