Description
Our service strengthens educator and family capacity to support children at risk of developmental vulnerability through timely, targeted support. We prioritise practical, evidence-based strategies and environmental supports that can be embedded into everyday routines, ensuring sustainable and meaningful change. Central to our service is recognising and enhancing the existing knowledge, skills, and expertise of parents, caregivers, educators and service staff, fostering their confidence and capacity.
We aim to build children’s foundational skills in emotional regulation, play, motor development, and school readiness, while also strengthening the capacity of adults to scaffold these skills through co-regulation, attachment-informed practices, and neuro-diversity affirming and developmentally appropriate supports.
We are committed to supporting services to build a strong sense of community. Through collaboration, shared learning, and relationship-building, we help create connected, supportive environments where children, families, and educators feel valued and empowered.

Expected outcomes include:
- Increased engagement in meaningful activities, such as play, self-care, social interaction and learning
- Improved regulation and co-regulation through building emotional literacy and sensory regulation skills
- Strengthened educator and family capacity through knowledge acquisition relating to co-regulation, attachment-informed strategies, and supportive and inclusive environments
- Enhanced community collaboration and engagement through a family-centred approach
How this is delivered
The service is delivered by Bloom Wellbeing staff listed above, acting as external facilitators. A core component of the model is a ‘train the trainer’ approach, building capacity of educators to embed strategies into everyday practice and sustain outcomes beyond the education sessions. On-site observations within the environments will be conducted to identify strengths, developmental needs and environmental opportunities for support.
