Description
Through a combination of whole-group and small-group sessions, children learn to notice and interpret their body signals (interoception) and connect these to their feelings. Activities are play-based, age-appropriate, and thoughtfully differentiated so every child can participate with confidence. We use simple, real-world language to help children build practical skills they can use every day.
Children will be supported to:
- Recognise and respond to body signals and emotions
- Manage frustration and begin to self-regulate
- Respond to co-regulation from trusted adults
- Express needs and wants more effectively
- Build independence in daily routines (e.g. toileting, transitions)
- Engage positively with peers and group activities
- Develop early problem-solving skills
We partner closely with educators and families to create a consistent, supportive environment. Strategies are embedded into daily routines and learning experiences, helping children strengthen their skills across all settings. As part of our support we also offer trainings for parents and carers and educators to strengthen supports.

Expected outcomes are that:
- Children will develop an understanding of their body signals and emotions to improve co- and self-regulation, resilience, and coping skills.
- Educators will build skills to teach, model, and embed learning through routines, environments, and play.
- Families will gain confidence to support their child's emotional development and regulation at home.
How this is delivered
This service will be tailored and responsive to the individual site context. An initial consult, including observations will be required to ensure we provide supports that match the needs of children and site context. For ongoing implementation for intervention, this can be delivered in person and can be provided on a weekly basis. To complement this service, trainings can be scheduled in for both families and educators to explore key developmental areas such as emotional regulation, transitions and independence. Resources will also be made to complement learning provided.
