Description

The service provides tailored supports for communication, social-emotional development, social skills, behaviour, play, inclusion and learning in everyday practice.

Early Language & Play Sessions is a small-group program delivered within early childhood settings to support children’s emotional maturity (awareness, regulation, resilience), social competences (social interaction and social communication), language (verbal and nonverbal) and cognitive skills, communication and general knowledge. Programs run for up to 10 sessions and are tailored to the needs of the service and participating children, with groups of up to 5 children.

Child-Led Play Modelling & Problem Solving is an onsite service where the clinician joins child-led play within early childhood settings to model communication, social interaction, play and emotional regulation strategies. It includes real-time coaching for educators, collaborative reflection, and problem-solving around what is working and what is not, supporting responsive practice and strengthening educator confidence within everyday routines.

Educator Information Sessions – Communication & Development provide educational group sessions for early childhood educators focused on supporting young children’s development. Sessions are developmentally informed, practical, and designed to build educator confidence in understanding communication, behaviour, learning, and social-emotional growth. They support understanding of key areas of development and include strategies to support development within early learning environments, plus time for discussion and Q&A. Sessions are educational and non-diagnostic, include on-the-day Q&A with the option to add on follow up practical sessions.

Educator coaching provide onsite, real-time support within the learning environment builds educator confidence and capability through observation, in-the-moment coaching, reflective discussion, and guided, collaborative problem-solving. Staff are supported to explore what they are noticing, ask questions about development and group dynamics, and receive immediate, practical guidance relevant to their context. The focus is on strengthening whole-group practice rather than individual intervention.

Parent Information Snapshot Sessions – Communication & Development provide educational group sessions for families and early childhood services focused on supporting young children’s development. Sessions are developmentally informed, practical, and designed to build parent and educator confidence in understanding communication, behaviour, learning, and social-emotional growth. • Increased educator and parent confidence in understanding communication and developmental vulnerabilities, supporting early recognition and intervention
  • Enhanced understanding of developmental milestones, communication development, neurodiversity, and responsive practice
  • Improved ability to implement evidence-based communication, social and emotional regulation strategies in everyday contexts
  • Greater use of inclusive teaching strategies to support all learners

How this is delivered

Supports are determined by the needs of the service and tailored accordingly.

Child-Led Play Modelling & Problem Solving is delivered onsite within early childhood settings through 90 minute play based sessions, including brief pre- and post-session discussions with educators to identify goals and reflect on learning.

Early Language & Play Sessions are provided as a small-group program supporting up to 5 children per group. Programs are tailored to the needs of the service and participating children, with the option of up to 10 sessions delivered at a schedule, frequency and pace that suits your service. Each session runs for 45 minutes and is embedded within the early learning environment.

Group parent and educator sessions are offered face to face in differnt formats:
  • 1 hour snapshot session - A concise topic overview providing key information about child development, what to expect at different ages, developmental milestones, and guidance for families.
  • 90-minute Extended Session – A more in-depth session covering the same topic areas, with additional strategies to support development at home and in early learning environments, plus time for discussion and Q&A.
  • 2-hour face to face workshop sessions

Sessions are educational and non-diagnostic, include on-the-day Q&A and resources, and do not include individual follow-up.

On-the-Floor Coaching & Support is a flexible, practice-based onsite service for early childhood educators and leadership teams. Sessions are typically delivered in 60-minute blocks and may be extended (e.g., 2–3 hour visits) depending on service needs and level of support required.
