Description

Managing Anxiety

Educators will explore the signs and impacts of anxiety in young children and its effect on learning and participation. Facilitators will share practical strategies to help educators create a supportive environment where children feel safe to express emotions and develop coping skills, fostering confidence and engagement in the preschool setting.

Key objectives:
  • Recognise anxiety indicators and contributing factors.
  • Apply calming techniques and routines.
  • Foster emotional safety and resilience.
  • Engage families in supporting anxious learners.


Educators will be empowered to reduce anxiety-related barriers, helping children feel secure and ready to learn.

  • ability to model and teach emotional regulation strategies
  • ability to manage emotional conflicts and
  • support for emotional resilience.
