Description
Our Speech Pathologist promotes effective speech, language, and communication skills for children. We can provide training, coaching, and group-based intervention to help identify and support children who are developmentally vulnerable. We can help educators create rich and interactive learning environments that promote language, social, and literacy development through embedding evidence-based strategies into daily play, activities, interactions, and routines.
- Improved knowledge of typical communication development, across speech, language, social communication, and emergent literacy skills, and indicators of difficulties.
- Improved knowledge of implementing strategies within the preschool environment.
- Improved ability to develop actitivities that facilitate speech, language, social, and emergent literacy skills.
- Improved confidence to refer for specialised intervention or assessment.
How this is delivered
- Tailored content and approach depending on site's concerns and capacity.
- Initial consultation to understand specific concerns and needs, followed by tailored advice and recommendations.
- Support can include training sessions, resource development, observations, modelling and feedback.
- Delivered by Senior Speech Pathologist, in-person or telehealth.
Cost
*Services are provided at an hourly rate of $232.99* *Total cost dependent on the sites needs and time taken.* *A quote can be provided following initial consultation.* *Travel charged at hourly rate for travel to the site, as well as a non-labour travel charge of 0.99 per km.*
