Description

Our evidence-based, play-based therapy strengthens inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing in early learning settings. As a regional provider, we understand the challenges of distance, workforce shortages, and limited local services, so our approach is flexible, practical, and responsive to each community.

We deliver tailored, face-to-face supports aligned with site goals, enhancing children’s development while building educator confidence. Small group therapy focuses on emotional regulation, sensory foundations, executive functioning, and social participation through structured, engaging play. Play-based learning supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth while fostering confidence, relationships, and belonging.

Groups are co-facilitated by occupational therapists, allied health assistants, and educators, with strategies embedded into daily routines and shared with families.

Our point of difference is implementation and sustainability. We work alongside educators in real time, coaching, modelling, and embedding strategies into everyday practice to create lasting, whole-site change.

We also offer in-room coaching, environmental assessments, and professional development to strengthen inclusive practice, optimise learning environments, and support reflective decision-making. Supports are flexible and term-based where appropriate, complementing existing preschool programs while building sustainable, strengths-based outcomes for children, educators, and communities.

  • Increased educator confidence and capability to embed inclusive, evidence-based strategies supporting belonging, participation, and engagement.
  • Improved child outcomes in emotional regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, and social participation through play-based supports.
  • Strengthened implementation of sustainable strategies across daily routines and learning environments.
  • Enhanced inclusion and belonging for all children within early learning settings.

How this is delivered

Our supports are delivered flexibly to meet the needs of early learning services, with a strong focus on inclusion, belonging, and sustainable practice change.

We use a practical, relationship-based model to ensure support is accessible, responsive, and embedded in real-world settings. Delivery can be face-to-face, online, or hybrid, and is tailored to each site.

Supports include:
  • Small group therapy integrated into daily routines and play-based learning, targeting emotional regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, and social participation.
  • In-room coaching and educator mentoring, where therapists model strategies, provide feedback, and support inclusive practice.
  • Environmental assessments with practical recommendations to improve sensory safety, engagement, and participation.
  • Professional development delivered on-site, online, or in blended formats to build capability in inclusive practice.
  • Ongoing consultation and follow-up to support implementation and continuous improvement.

Programs run across a term or longer, with weekly, fortnightly, or intensive block delivery depending on site goals and capacity.

A key feature is implementation support - ensuring strategies are embedded into everyday practice. This builds educator confidence, strengthens consistency, and supports sustainable outcomes for children, educators, and communities.

All supports complement existing preschool programs and strengthen inclusive participation for all children.
