How this is delivered
PBS is delivered weekly in a fortnightly cycle, alternating between face-to-face and non-face-to-face supports (1.5 hours per week). Face-to-face sessions (plus travel) within the child’s learning environment and includes direct observation, modelling of strategies, and coaching for staff and families. Non-face-to-face sessions focus on behaviour support plan development, data collection and analysis, strategy review, and creation of training resources. This approach ensures supports are practical, responsive, and collaborative.
Small group behaviour therapy is delivered weekly in 2.5-hour sessions, including 2 hours face-to-face (plus travel) and 30 minutes non-face-to-face planning and review. Sessions involve small groups of 4–5 children in child-led, play-based activities, with embedded strategy modelling and staff training.
Focus areas include school readiness, emotional understanding and regulation, self-advocacy, social skills, safety awareness, and motor development.
Overall, this model supports skill development while building the capacity of educators and caregivers to implement effective strategies across settings.
