Description

The Links at Preschool: Professional Development program equips early childhood educators with practical, evidence-informed strategies and confidence to support all children to learn and thrive in the years before school, with a strong focus on disabilities and developmental concerns. Led by early childhood specialists, speech pathologists, and psychologists, our webinars, workshops and on-demand sessions focus on simple, practical techniques that can be embedded into play-based environments to foster inclusion and school readiness. Educators can select from a range of topics, including:
  • inclusive communication strategies
  • how to read a speech report
  • speech and language development
  • supporting positive behaviour
  • transition to school for children with a disability
  • embedding strategies to support inclusion
  • strategies to support ASD
The program can also be tailored to meet your team's specific goals and the unique needs of children you support in your early childhood and care setting. Expected outcomes for this program are for educators to improve their knowledge and confidence to:
  • understand and support speech and language development in early childhood
  • understand and support social-emotional development in early childhood
  • implement inclusive communication strategies
  • implement inclusive practices to support children with disabilities and developmental concerns
