Description

Expected outcomes for this program are:
  • improved verbal and non-verbal communication skills in children through engagement in pretend play and collaborative storytelling
  • increased educator understanding of communication development in early childhood, including the role of imaginative play in supporting expressive and receptive language
  • improved ability for educators to implement strategies that use play-based learning to promote communication, articulation, and general knowledge acquisition
  • enhanced engagement in imaginative play and storytelling, supporting children’s confidence in expressing ideas and participating in group learning.

How this is delivered

This program is delivered in-person via weekly 45 to 60-minute sessions over 17 weeks, with regular educator support between sessions (with 30-minute educator training time pre and post group). The group consists of:
  • 30-minutes educator training before each session
  • 60-minutes Learn to Play group
  • 30-minutes post group (to reflect and formulate strategies to implement prior to next session).

Cost

The program is delivered for $570 per weekly session. A free 30-minute virtual consultation is available to explore how AkindaCo can support your team. If travel is required, it will be charged at $285 per hour. Travel within 10km of 183 Tynte Street, North Adelaide and 21 Philip highway, Elizabeth at no cost.
