Description

Everyday Steps to Success is an evidence-based program that integrates targeted strategies through play-based activities and regular pre-school routines. It strengthens your capability to support all children’s development through inclusive, whole group learning activities. Through ongoing, strengths-based coaching, you’ll explore strategies like modelling, observation and feedback, reflective practice, SMART goal setting, and collaborative problem-solving, tailored to your experience and goals. Intentional teaching and guided hands-on participation will help you embed strategies into your program and individualise these for the children and families within your service and local community. With scaffolded support and a personalised learning plan, you’ll gain the skills to confidently apply inclusive practices and promote positive outcomes for every child and family. Expected outcomes for this program are:
  • To develop children's ability to understand their emotions, build regulation tools, embed resilience techniques and coping strategies within everyday play and learning opportunities
  • To develop children's social engagement and interaction skills to enable positive relationships with peers
  • To build educator knowledge of emotional and social development, develop skills to assess and unpack behaviour and build confidence to implement strategies within an early years' service
  • To support families to understand children's emotional and social development and build techniques and confidence to implement strategies within home environments

How this is delivered

Everyday Steps to Success is an evidence based early childhood program that supports children’s development through inclusive, play-based group learning. It is delivered by a team of qualified professionals such as teachers, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, behaviour support practitioners, who work collaboratively to embed therapy into everyday routines and early learning environments. This approach helps children achieve positive, lasting change. The program integrates intentional teaching strategies into everyday routines, transitions, and group experiences, enhancing current practices rather than adding extra layers. Educator development is a key focus, using a strengths-based coaching model that includes:
  • real-time modelling of inclusive strategies
  • observation with feedback
  • reflective practice and smart goal setting
  • team-based problem-solving
  • peer coaching and scaffolded support tailored to experience levels.
Small group sessions offer flexible, differentiated learning aligned with each child's needs, while also promoting consistent, collaborative approaches across the whole centre.

Cost

Program costs are based on individual needs, using an hourly rate of $193.99. Customisation options are available, including additional coaching, extended sessions or resources, with pricing to be confirmed based on requirements.
