Description

Strengthen your expertise in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and child development through the AkindaCo’s hands-on training program. AkindaCo experienced facilitators will work directly at your early childhood education and care service, providing:
  • practical skills training
  • one-on-one mentorship
  • co-facilitation techniques. AkindaCo will customise each program to address your centre's specific needs and goals. You will receive training to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines, helping children navigate transitions and build confidence. Families receive targeted support to strengthen attachment, routines, and emotional co-regulation at home. Expected outcomes for this program are:
  • children show increased confidence and participation in group routines, shared play, and classroom transitions
  • educators implement attachment-informed strategies to promote cooperative play, social learning, and peer connection
  • children demonstrate improved social interaction skills, including turn-taking, help-seeking, and building peer relationships
  • educators and families use consistent approaches to support children’s social confidence and independence across settings

How this is delivered

This program is delivered in-person and consists of 3-hour sequential training modules delivered over multiple sessions (dates to fit with you). You will receive mentoring and implementation support from AkindaCo’s multidisciplinary team, ensuring knowledge is embedded into your daily practice.

Cost

A free 30-minute virtual consultation is available to explore how AkindaCo can support your team. Travel within 10km of 183 Tynte Street, North Adelaide and 21 Philip Highway, Elizabeth is included in the above costs.
