Description

The Positive Early Childhood Education (PECE) program will enhance your understanding of how to support children to develop their emotional self-regulation skills, focusing on self-reflection and recognising the underlying needs communicated through behaviour. You will gain practical strategies for setting realistic expectations and supporting children’s social and emotional development, reinforcing existing pedagogical knowledge and skills. The flexible training options available through the program, with online learning for educators and educational leaders, helps build confidence and skills to deal with difficult situations, and develop children's potential to the fullest. Expected outcomes for this program are:
  • be more confident, less stressed and build a shared framework of practice, to enhance staff retention and overall job satisfaction
  • have the tools to confidently respond to each child's emotional needs and help build their self-regulation skills
  • have improved communication and positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • have a positive impact on children's social, emotional, and behavioural development.

How this is delivered

This program offers 2 learning pathways:
  • Personal PECE online: a self-paced, 4-module online program for you to complete independently
  • Team PECE coaching: includes online live workshop and accreditation sessions (2.5 days). All educators are encouraged to complete the PECE online program as the first step. One senior educator, either based at or who regularly visits your service, is encouraged to complete training to become a PECE coach. This coach then facilitates regular peer support sessions with educators, to build their professional expertise in supporting and guiding children’s healthy development and wellbeing. Added benefits can be achieved for children when parents have access to Triple P – Positive Parenting Program, creating a shared language between educators and parents to support consistent use of strategies at preschool and within the family. Triple P’s online suite of evidence-based programs for parents with young children is free

Cost

The Personal PECE online program is $200 AUD per person. The Team PECE coaching program is $1,777 per person. For groups of 12 or more, bulk pricing and tailored implementation support is available. Other training options are also available. Please contact Triple P International for further information on the full range of options and associated prices.
