Description

Acorn is a multi-faceted, evidence-based intervention that provides an opportunity for mothers with mental health difficulties to come together once a week in groups and be supported in their relationship with their young child aged from zero to 3 years. Acorn is for both people in the relationship with an equal emphasis on mother and child and is all about supporting the mother and child relationship. Each session involves dance play and reflective journaling.

How this is delivered

Acorn group programs run for 15 weeks for up to 10 mothers at various stages of wellness, whose mental health struggle is having or has had an impact on their relationship with their children.

Cost

The 15-week program costs $50,000. This price includes all travel expenses, all team provider services and counselling, insurance and incidentals.
