Step-by-step guide for applying for study support
The steps listed on this page guide you through the application process for accessing early childhood financial support
Step 1: Apply
- you can apply at any time
- assess whether you need financial support for educator or teacher study
- get your Driver's licence and Medicare card (or other proof of address)
- get your Proof of Aboriginality (if you're applying for the Aboriginal Pathways Program)
- get your letter of offer or your enrolment/academic transcript (if you're already enrolled)
- review the guidelines and FAQs for information on taxes and other important details
- talk to your employer if you want to apply for the employer funding support for diploma students
Step 2: Application outcome
- you'll receive a response to your completed application within about 3 weeks
- if you are successful, you'll be pre-approved for financial support.
Step 3: Enrol in your course
- if you're not enrolled yet, you can do it now with the confidence that your financial support is pre-approved
- we'll schedule an online session to guide you through the program, so you know what's expected.
Step 4: Provide enrolment evidence
After your first census date, send the evidence of your enrolment to the Administrator via this email: OECD.ECWorkforceSupport@sa.gov.au
Step 5: Get your contract and first payment
- once we have evidence of your enrolment, we'll send you the contract
- sign and return the contract to receive your first milestone payment.
Step 6: Annual evidence
- every year, send evidence of your enrolment after the Census date to OECD.ECWorkforceSupport@sa.gov.au to keep receiving milestone payments
- when you are employed, send your your employment details to the Administrator via OECD.ECWorkforceSupport@sa.gov.au to receive retention funding.
