Key focus areas include:
- Physical health and wellbeing: helping children develop fine and gross motor skills, improve physical access and safety through environmental modifications and promote independence in self-care activities.
- Language and cognitive skills: activities that foster cognitive development and language skills.
- Social competence: enhancing social skills through play and social interactions, helping children build positive relationships and engage effectively with peers.
- Emotional maturity: assist in developing emotional control and concentration, supporting children in managing their emotions and behaviours.

How this is delivered
The frequency of Kudos occupational therapy programs for group sessions can vary based on the needs of the children and the goals of the program. The program aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) by focusing on key developmental areas for children, helping children prepare for school and beyond. In an early childhood education and care setting, the recommended dosage and frequency of Kudos occupational therapy programs for group sessions can vary based on the needs of the children and the goals of the program. General guidelines include:
- Group sessions are typically held in-person, 1-2 times per week.
- Each group session usually lasts between 30 to 45 minutes.
- The size of the group can impact the effectiveness of the therapy. Smaller groups (for example, 3-5 children) are often preferred to ensure each child receives adequate attention and support from the therapist.
- Group sessions often focus on activities that promote social interaction, cooperative play and the development of fine and gross motor skills. These activities are designed to be engaging and fun, encouraging participation from all children.
Kudos will work with you to develop child group support, parent capacity building initiatives and training to reduce developmental vulnerability and achieve meaningful improvements of children’s development outcomes.
