Quality Uplift program

The Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) has engaged the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) to deliver a quality uplift program for eligible early childhood services to support their quality improvement journey.

The free, 6-month, tailored professional learning program supports early childhood services that are ‘Working Towards’ the National Quality Standard.

The Program is open to staff at both Flying Start partner and non-partner services by invitation from the OECD. For Flying Start partner services that are rated as 'Working Towards' the National Quality Standard, participation in the Quality Uplift Program is a core partnership requirement. Those partner services must engage with the program to continue to be eligible for preschool funding.

About the program

Early childhood education and care services participating in the Quality Uplift program will have access to:

  • one-on-one mentoring support from an ACECQA Quality Support Facilitator who will guide and support services based on their unique needs
  • opportunities to network and build positive working relationships with other education and care services throughout South Australia
  • a 2-day, face-to-face leadership and governance workshop with other approved providers and service leaders
  • support with developing quality improvement goals and implementing change management strategies which can be captured in quality improvement planning documentation; and
  • multi-platform, self-paced learning materials for services, with opportunities for both group and individual learning.
