Description
The Triple P - Positive Parenting Program® integrates evidence-based parenting strategies into early childhood services, benefiting both you and your families. After Triple P Provider training, you are equipped to confidently support parents with concerns about their children's emotions, behaviour, or development. You can offer brief consultations with parents during drop-off or pick-up times, or schedule meetings as needed. You can also raise common parenting topics within early childhood services, such as supporting emotional expression and encouraging cooperation. Triple P tipsheets provide parents with actionable strategies for applying parenting plans at home. This program fosters a shared language and framework for delivering evidence-based parenting education, ensuring effective support for families and promoting positive child development. Families can access Triple P’s online programs for free, including free promotional resources to help you engage with families. Expected outcomes for this program are:
- educators have improved skills and confidence in conducting effective consultations with parents, including active skills training
- educators and parents have improved ability to implement strategies for promoting children's development including the ability to model and build self-regulation skills
- educators and parents have a shared understanding of children's social skill development in early childhood and ability to implement skills to support social skill development, supporting children to get along with others, follow directions, regulate emotions, share and take turns
- families have improved ability to implement strategies for promoting language development and in promoting cognitive development through play.
How this is delivered
To provide Primary Care Triple P to families, you complete an approved active skills training course and show what you've learned through an accreditation process. Training is via video conference, or for groups of 12 or more, we can provide it in-person at your venue. An initial 2-day training workshop is followed about 4 weeks later, by a 1-day pre-accreditation workshop and half-day accreditation workshop. You will receive the following Triple P resources:
- Practitioner's Kit for Primary Care Triple P
- Triple P Tip Sheet Series — Sample Pack
- access to the video - Every Parent's Survival Guide.
When you're finished the program you can access the Triple P Provider Network website, which includes access to tools, previous video blogs and a variety of other resources for the program.
Cost
Primary Care Triple P is $1,959 per educator. Triple P Tip Sheets are available for $14.95 per pack of 10. Triple P Online for parents and carers is free.
