Description
Connecting Dots 4 Kids designs and delivers flexible occupational therapy supports within early childhood education and care settings. Services include whole-site consultation and supports that are tailored to the needs, priorities, environment and community of each early-childhood centre. Services can focus on building educator and family capacity to promote regulation, connection and inclusive environments for all children. Additionally, services can focus on providing educator coaching and targeted group-based services for children and families with developmental vulnerabilities with a focus on emotional regulation, play skills, social skills, daily living abilities and motor skills development.Find out more: www.cd4k.com.au
Expected outcomes for this program are:
- Improved ability for educators and families to understand emotional development
- Improved ability for educators and families to regulate their own emotions
- Improved ability for educators and families to model and teach emotional regulation strategies
- Improved ability for children to co-regulate/self-regulate their emotions
How this is delivered
Flexible OT supports are designed to meet the centre's needs, priorities, environment and community. Services are planned in conjunction with centre management and may include whole-site consultations, tailored capacity building activities for educators and/or families with ongoing, onsite support or group-based services for children and families with developmental vulnerabilities.
Cost
This support is delivered at $210 per hour including travel. Travel is calculated from either Gawler or Ardrossan, whichever is closer. Workshops (max 20 adults) and group sessions (max 6 children) are $250 per hour. Workshops and group numbers can be higher with costs negotiated at time of booking. All costs listed are GST exclusive.
