The program supports educators to implement a structured, proactive framework that promotes the development of foundational motor skills, social emotional skills and engagement in daily activities.
Group sessions, workshops, and ongoing coaching to educators will focus on building children’s functional skills and embedding therapeutic strategies into everyday routines. Emphasis is placed on developing fine and gross motor skills, social participation, independence, and overall wellbeing through practical, evidence-informed approaches.
Key components include:
- Individualised Service Support: Tailored strategies and activities that promote each child’s physical, sensory, cognitive, and social-emotional development in the group setting.
- Play-Based, Therapeutic Approach: Learning through play with embedded occupational therapy principles to support regulation, skill development, and meaningful participation.
- Capacity Building for Educators: Ongoing guidance from qualified occupational therapists to strengthen educator skills in supporting children’s health, wellbeing, and functional development.
