Description

Circle of Security Parenting is an evidence based program which strengthens caregivers understanding of their children’s emotional needs and behaviour, supporting more secure and responsive relationships between children and their caregivers.

Bud Therapies' approach is grounded in family-centred and early intervention practice, supporting caregivers to reflect on everyday interactions and apply strategies within daily routines. The practical, relationship-based methodology is supported by evidence showing that strengthening caregiver capacity leads to positive developmental outcomes for children.

Expected outcomes include:

For children:

  • improved emotional regulation
  • increased sense of safety and confidence
  • stronger social relationships, and
  • greater engagement in learning and play.

For families:

  • increased caregiver confidence
  • improved ability to recognise and respond to children’s cues, and
  • greater understanding of how relationships support children’s development.

For educators:

  • improved collaboration with families and increased understanding of children’s emotional needs

How this is delivered

The COS-P program will be delivered in a small group format over 8 weeks, to support meaningful participation and reflection.

Groups will include a maximum of 10 participants and frequency of the groups can be negotiated with terms that are suitable for the setting (such as weekly, fortnightly or monthly) with consistency important for the outcomes of the group.

Each group will be facilitated by two trained presenters and sessions will run for two hours, providing adequate time for video-based learning, guided discussion, reflection, and connection between participants.

Cost

This program is delivered for $3360 for the full 8 session workshop. If travel is required, this will be charged based on location at $210/hour rate. All costs listed are GST exclusive.
