The program helps caregivers recognise the emotional needs underlying their child’s behaviour and respond in ways that promote connection, emotional safety and co-regulation. Through guided discussion and reflection, caregivers learn how to support their child’s emotional development while strengthening the parent–child relationship. The program also supports stronger partnerships between families and early childhood education and care services by creating opportunities for caregivers to engage in conversations about children’s development and emotional wellbeing.

Circle of Security Parenting aligns with the objectives of Preschool Boost by strengthening protective factors that support children’s emotional regulation, social competence and readiness for learning.

The expected outcomes of Circle of Security Parenting include increased caregiver understanding of children’s attachment needs and emotional development, leading to improvements in children’s emotional regulation, social engagement and reduced indicators of developmental vulnerability.

Circle of Security Parenting is delivered as a structured group-based parenting program designed to strengthen caregiver understanding of children’s attachment needs and emotional development. The program is facilitated by Connect.Ed as an external provider, with sessions delivered directly to groups of parents or caregivers connected to the early childhood service. Circle of Security Parenting is typically delivered as 8 sessions × 90 minutes. Sessions are usually delivered weekly or fortnightly.

This program is delivered for $499.98 per session or $3999.84 per program for 8 sessions (2-hour per session) during business hours. Outside business hours, cost is $699.98 per session or $5599.84 per program for 8 sessions (2-hour per session). If travel is required, this will be charged based on location which can be negotiated. Travel will be charged back and forth. All costs listed are GST exclusive.
