Description
Go Time! is a six-week, relationship-based small-group program delivered within ECEC settings to support foundational development in children aged four years. The program uses play-based, sensory and movement-rich experiences to strengthen skills and confidence in social, motor and cognitive development and emotional regulation for school readiness. Where appropriate, the program may be extended to eight weeks. Key components include:
Co-Delivery Model: Each session is facilitated jointly by an occupational therapist and a site educator, building educator capacity and embedding strategies into everyday routines.
Play-Based, Sensory and Movement-Rich Sessions: Activities are graded and adapted to each child's individual needs, strengths, and sensory profile.
Small, Consistent Groups: Up to four children per group, supporting relationship-based, targeted developmental support.
Weekly Handouts for Educators and Families: Keeps educators and families aligned with program goals and strategies between sessions.
Educator Coaching: Includes a pre-program practice-based coaching session to prepare the co-facilitating educator, and a reflective coaching session at program close.

- Improved educator knowledge and confidence in applying strategies that support emotional regulation, group participation and developmental readiness for school.
How this is delivered
Go Time! is delivered as a sequenced six-week program, with one session per week of approximately 60 minutes, onsite at the ECEC centre during the preschool day. Sessions are co-facilitated by a Motivate Kids occupational therapist and a site educator, with a consistent group of up to four children.
The occupational therapist leads planning, activity grading, and facilitation, while the educator actively co-facilitates, observes, and reflects on how strategies can be embedded within daily routines.
A manualised program framework guides session structure, routines, and activity progressions. Ongoing support is provided through Practice-Based Coaching, session-by-session monitoring, weekly family handouts led by educators, and a structured program kit.
An optional extension to eight weeks is available where a service's needs indicate this is appropriate. Includes a pre-program coaching session with the co-facilitating educator to prepare for delivery, and a reflective debrief coaching session at the close of the program.
