Neurospa Friends & Feelings is an evidence-informed social and emotional learning program designed to help children develop the skills needed to understand and manage emotions, build positive relationships, and confidently navigate everyday social situations.

Delivered by qualified mental health professionals, the program uses engaging, age-appropriate activities, discussion, games, and practical strategies to teach emotional awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, resilience, communication, problem-solving, and friendship skills. Children learn to recognise and express emotions in healthy ways, resolve conflicts, develop self-confidence, and strengthen their social competence in a safe and supportive environment.

The program can be delivered in schools and early learning settings through small group sessions or classroom-based workshops, with content tailored to the developmental needs of participants. Neurospa Friends & Feelings aims to promote emotional wellbeing, improve peer relationships, increase school engagement, and provide children with lifelong skills that support positive mental health and learning outcomes.

The program is suitable for children requiring universal social and emotional learning, as well as those who would benefit from additional support to strengthen emotional regulation, resilience, and interpersonal skills.

Neurospa Friends & Feelings is delivered by qualified mental health professionals and can be tailored to meet the needs of individual early childhood education and care (ECEC) services.

The program is typically delivered as small-group sessions (4–6 children) over 6–8 weekly sessions of approximately 45–60 minutes. Classroom workshops and whole-class sessions are also available where appropriate. Individual support sessions can be provided for children requiring additional assistance.

Sessions are interactive and include play-based learning, stories, games, role-play, group discussions, visual supports, and practical activities that build emotional awareness, emotional regulation, communication, resilience, problem-solving, and friendship skills.

Educators are provided with practical strategies to reinforce learning within everyday routines, helping children apply their new skills across different environments. Where appropriate, parent information and take-home resources are available to encourage consistency between the ECEC service and home.

Program content can be adapted to suit the age, developmental stage, and specific needs of each service and its children.

Services may choose to book the complete Neurospa Friends & Feelings program or individual sessions to meet their specific needs. Child group sessions are $550 per session, educator professional learning sessions are $650 per session, parent information sessions are $650 per session, and implementation support sessions are $350 per session (all GST exclusive). Travel is charged at the current ATO cents-per-kilometre rate where applicable.
