Description

Reframing Behaviour is a Tier 1 program designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support every child's participation and wellbeing.

Grounded in a strengths-based approach, the program invites you to explore behaviour through the lens of regulation, environment, and communication, recognising that all behaviour carries meaning. Rather than focusing on what children cannot do, Reframing Behaviour builds your capacity to understand the "why" behind behaviour and embed meaningful, practical supports into everyday preschool routines and activities.

The program equips you to create inclusive, responsive learning environments that work for all children, including children with autism, developmental delays or disability, and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

By strengthening your practice from the ground up, Reframing Behaviour supports greater participation and inclusion for all, helping to reduce developmental vulnerability while celebrating the unique strengths and diversity each child brings to the setting.

This is a whole-setting, whole-team approach, because when you feel supported and confident, children thrive.

Expected outcomes for this program:

  • Create preschool environments with proactive and targeted supports, embedded alongside everyday routines and activities.
  • Further develop your knowledge, skills, and confidence in analysing behaviour through a regulation, environmental, and communication lens.
  • Strengthen your capacity to increase participation and inclusion opportunities, supporting the positive engagement and development of every child in your setting.
