Ready Bodies, Ready Minds is an occupational therapy-led, play-based program delivered within preschool settings to support children’s regulation, motor development and independence.

Delivered through a group-based model, the program integrates strategies into existing classroom activities rather than introducing separate therapy sessions. Occupational therapists work alongside educators to support children during key parts of the day such as transitions, group time, play, and self-care routines. This ensures skills are developed in meaningful, real-world contexts where children can practise and generalise them.

The program targets core developmental areas including sensory regulation, gross and fine motor skills, coordination, and independence in daily tasks. Children are supported to develop awareness of their body states, improve their ability to regulate emotions and attention, and build confidence in physical and social participation.

A key component of the program is educator coaching. Educators are supported to understand the sensory and motor factors underlying behaviour and are equipped with practical, easy-to-implement strategies to create more inclusive, regulation-informed environments. This builds long-term capacity within the service and supports sustainable outcomes beyond the program duration.

Families are also supported through shared language and practical strategies, promoting consistency between home and preschool environments.

The program is designed to strengthen the foundational skills that enable children to participate in preschool and transition confidently to school.

PROGRAM (delivered in person-only)

We provide a structured, yet flexible program delivered over a 10-week "Boost Term" to align with the school calendar.

• WEEK 1:Initial Ecological Audit - A 2-hour session focused on observing the environment and group dynamics
• WEEK 2- 9: Active Implementation - Weekly 90-minute "side-by-side" group sessions with 30 minutes are spent in a dedicated "Reflective Coaching" session with the educator/room lead during a quiet period or handover.

All services are $217/hr (ex GST) delivered by qualified allied health professionals.

Hourly services include educator coaching, leadership training, parent training, reports, and consultation, tailored to each centre.

Our structured 12-week program is a fixed $5,642 (ex GST) for up to 10 attendees, covering audits, coaching, reviews, and family summaries.

Travel within 15 minutes of our clinic is included additional travel billed at our hourly rate.
