Provisionally Registered Teacher Mentoring Program
The Provisionally Registered Teacher (PRT) Mentoring Program will provide opt-in, tailored support aimed at increasing the number of PRTs moving to full registration, building a highly skilled, fully qualified and registered ECT workforce, supporting retention and enhancing children’s developmental outcomes.
Suitably qualified, fully registered and highly experienced ECTs can participate in the program as ECT mentors. PRTs participating in the program will have access to tailored streams of mentoring support through group sessions or 1:1 mentoring.
ECT mentors will be matched with a PRT mentee outside of their service or provider and will undertake professional development to grow as leaders and contribute to the development of high-quality teaching across the sector, supported through peer learning connections.
Partner Services with a staff member participating in the program will receive PRT Mentoring Program funding. Funding amounts are based on the role the staff member is undertaking in the program, the associated program activities and any travel involved in their participation in the program.
Participation in the PRT Mentoring Program will be subject to supplier capacity, assessment and triaging. More detailed information about the PRT Mentoring Program is provided in the Program Guidelines.
