Services are required to provide Term 2 enrolment data for 3-and 4-year-old children by the 22 May 2026.  The reference period for this collection is 4 May – 15 May.

Further information including the form and instructions will be shared shortly.

One of OECD’s key initiatives is Preschool Plus - our targeted support program for children who need it most, delivering 30 hours of preschool alongside additional development supports, outreach and fee relief.

The More Time to Thrive research project will investigate how increased access to preschool from age 3 can support children’s development and wellbeing – and how Preschool Plus can be implemented in diverse service settings.

The research will focus on what supports services to deliver Preschool Plus effectively, and where challenges arise in practice. This will include interviews and discussions with educators, service leaders, families and referring agencies.

Over time, the project will investigate the impact of Preschool Plus on developmental vulnerability at school-entry, school attendance, wellbeing and academic achievement.

The research team from BetterStart, Adelaide University will begin reaching out to services soon to introduce themselves and explore opportunities to learn about delivering Preschool Plus.
