The Australian Government’s Professional Development Subsidy helps providers pay staff to complete the national mandatory child safety training during or outside work hours.

All Child Care Subsidy (CCS) approved providers can apply for the subsidy on behalf of their staff.

The subsidy is designed to help cover wages while staff complete the training. It will cover 5 hours per eligible staff member.

Applications close 3 July.

How do I apply?

Visit the Australian Government Department of Education website for more information.

I already applied for a Child Safety Grant – am I eligible for this subsidy?

Yes. Applying for (or receiving) a Child Safety Grant does not impact your eligibility to receive this subsidy.
