Early Childhood Australia’s National Conference returns in 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 30 September - 3 October 2026.
The conference brings together educators, teachers, leaders, researchers and policy makers from across the country to connect, share ideas and explore the future of early childhood education and care.
This year’s theme, Holding the Past, Creating the Future, invites the sector to reflect on the stories, practices and experiences shaping early childhood education and care now and into the future.
Early Childhood Australia is partnering with the OECD to support attendance at the conference, with a limited number of funded in-person places available for early childhood education and care professionals who are experiencing financial or travel barriers or working in rural and remote communities.
Eligibility criteria and an application process apply. Successful applicants will receive $3,950 to cover conference registration and contribute towards travel and accommodation costs.
