About the Flying Start Partnership Plan
The Flying Start Partnership Plan is a single, integrated tool for your service to plan for the year ahead and help you make data-informed decisions about your funding.
It replaces the Preschool Boost planning process that took place last year and brings together 3 separate funding streams – making it easier for you to plan holistically.
Our key priorities
We know a service needs to prioritise 3 things to make the biggest possible positive difference in children’s lives. Services should be:
- Warm and welcoming
- Committed to Quality
- Acting early, with others.
See your responsibilities as a Flying Start partner service for more about these key service delivery priorities.
The Flying Start Partnership Plan supports you to consider all 3 priorities together when identifying goals, selecting actions and investing your available funding.
About the Partnership Plan
The Partnership Plan helps you set strategic goals in line with these priority areas, and align your spending to best support your service’s needs and children’s outcomes.
The Partnership Plan is structured to help you think strategically about what you want to focus on using these specific funding streams, and how you will go about that – i.e. what your goals are, and what actions will drive those goals.
Funding streams in the Partnership Plan
The Policy and Funding Guide outlines several funding streams that need to be included in your Partnership Plan. These align to the 3 service delivery priorities.
