Communications Pack for Partner Services

[Originally published 8 January 2026]

As we’re all aware, more support in the early years of a child’s life can be effective in reducing developmental vulnerability and positively influencing their life trajectory. Quality early childhood services can benefit all children, and the benefit is greater for children experiencing disadvantage or vulnerability. We will continue to work closely with you as our Flying Start partners to support as many 3-year-olds as possible to take up their universal entitlement from January this year.

Now is the time to maximise the number of your registrations for Term 1 2026!

As outlined in the Policy and Funding Guide, teaching and learning funding for preschool is provided per confirmed child registered – so the higher the number of your confirmed registrations, the greater the investment your service can access.

We’ve prepared a Support Pack and Checklist to help make sure all eligible children in your services are registered. Please check these out below.

Remember, your Local Team is also available to support you in understanding current and potential registrations.
