Flying Start Partner Services are a place that families and children from all backgrounds want to be in and can be in – actively inclusive, trustworthy, and Culturally responsive.

Snapshot of your partnership requirements

  • Child eligibility – Providers are required to ensure Partner Services adhere to child eligibility requirements for 3- and 4-year-old preschool
  • Priority of access – Providers are required to ensure Partner Service enrolment processes align with priority of access requirements for 3-year-old preschool
  • Inclusion – Providers and Partner Services are required to ensure environments are genuinely inclusive, where every child is seen as a capable learner and a valued participant
  • Aboriginal inclusion – Providers and Partner Services are required to provide a welcoming and Culturally responsive preschool program for Aboriginal children and families. Educators working in the funded preschool room/s and other staff in direct contact with families are required to undertake foundational Aboriginal Cultural Safety training
  • Trauma-informed practice – Providers and Partner Services are required to ensure that educators working in the funded preschool room/s and other staff in direct contact with families undertake foundational Trauma-informed Practice training
  • Ready Set Preschool program planning – Providers and Partner Services in receipt of Ready Set Preschool funding are required to plan for the use of funding aligned to strategic goals identified through the Partnership Plan and implement funded activities in accordance with the Partnership Plan.
